Motivational Pick - Pascal Koradi new Swiss Post CFO

The Board of Directors of Swiss Post has appointed Pascal Koradi as CFO and member of Executive Management. On 1 March 2012 he will succeed Dr Markus Zenhäusern, who resigned from this role at the end of October for health reasons. Pascal Koradi is currently CFO of the regional Neue Aargauer Bank AG and member of its Executive Board.
The Board of Directors has designated Pascal Koradi, 39, Head of Finance and member of the Executive Management, as successor to Dr. Markus Zenhäusern, who resigned for health reasons at the end of October. Pascal Koradi will join Swiss Post from the regional financial institution Neue Aargauer Bank AG (NAB) on 1 March 2012. Mr Koradi has been with the Credit Suisse subsidiary NAB since 2000, first as Head of Treasury, then Head of Trading and, since 1 July 2006 as CFO and member of the Executive Board. In this position he is responsible for the financial management of the bank as a whole, and in particular for accounting, controlling, risk management, compliance, legal services, treasury and for central product management.


Ideal qualifications
With his background and experience in developing and implementing the NAB corporate strategy, coupled with his knowledge of regulatory requirement, he fulfils all the requirements for the post of Financial Head of Swiss Post. “In Pascal Koradi Swiss Post has engaged a young but proven financial practitioner possessing a strategic farsightedness, who shares the values of our company,” said Chief Executive Officer Jürg Bucher, commenting on the appointment. Pascal Koradi studied Business Administration at the University of Zurich specialising in finance; he is qualified as a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and has completed various further educational courses at the University of California. Last year, at the University of Zurich, he commenced a dissertation project focusing on financial reporting in regional banks. He lectures and is course leader at both the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland and at the Zurich University of Applied Sciences. Pascal Koradi is married, has two children and lives in Canton Aargau.
The position of Swiss Post CFO had fallen vacant due to the resignation for health reasons of Markus Zenhäusern, who had held the post for three and a half years. Mr Zenhäusern, 49, continues to be available to CEO Jürg Bucher for special projects, and will continue to be given special mandates and to be on certain committees. Until Mr Koradi takes up office the Finance Unit will be managed and represented in the Executive Management by the Deputy CFO Thomas Egger.
